A message from the National President

10/08/2016

We offer our prayers and support for our brothers and sisters dealing with all matters related to Hurricane Matthew. It's already a tough job without having to deal with the havic caused by destructive weather.   Hang in there, God Bless!

06/12/2016

At the suggestion of one of the members, the Board has approved a modification to the American Flag patch worn by all Archangels. Effective June 12th, one of the stripes will represent our belief and support of the "Thin Blue Line". The patch does not need to be replaced, only slightly modified. This can be achieved by using a Royal Blue permanent sharpie and coloring in the 3rd stripe from the bottom of the flag patch. All members should make this change as soon as possible. Example is displayed.  Be safe! AFFA

Our condolences to all the family and loved ones of fallen offiicers.  We honor our fallen brothers and sisters and shall NEVER forget their sacrifice.  AFFA

Hope this finds you all well and safe!!   Spring is hopefully just around the corner for most of us! With the season, most folks have been grounded....No new information concerning members or membership inquiries.  We continue to still tweak the website some and hope to expand the media content once I can figure that out without dropping the website!  If you are riding already, please be careful out there.  If you are working, be EXTRA careful!   AFFA

12/23/2015

Wishing all folks Happy Holiday's along with a great New Year! Let's be safe out there!  AFFA

Hey all!  We did manage to publish Veteran's Day wishes to our Face Book page, but this web site required some security updates which has since been completed.  Weather changing, so let's be super careful on the road.  More crazies out there, so let's also be vigilant in our work and personal lives.  We are continuing to make contacts across the country and remain active and progressive.  Stay Safe and Ride Smart!   AFFA

07/26/2015

We may have finally figured out this new blog entry so that we can continue to provide news to our membership.  Good turnout for the 2015 Pikes Peak Fallen Officer Memorial Ride.  Good ride except for that rain storm!  Sturgis bound next week, Hill City is the base. Board voted in a member from Louisiana today and we continue working with a group of folks in Minnesota that are attempting to start a chapter there.  We will keep you posted.  Feel free to check in as time allows and let us know what you've been up too.  We will be happy to share informaton via this message board that others may want to get out to folks.  Ride safe. AFFA

As you can tell the web site was restored, however this is only temporary.  There are several existing incompatibilities with our site following the vendor upgrade.  We are in the process of locating a web developer that will facilitate changing over to a stable site along with a few needed internal upgrades.   Just wanted folks to know.   Some riding weather out here now and then, but not the season quite yet!  Stay Safe! Greetings! We are struggling through another vendor server update and the site has dropped a few times. We are trying to work through this and get the site stable again. Our apologies. AFFA

Wishing all a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year! Let's remember those LE, EMG workers and Military folks working through the holidays to keep our country and communities safe! AFFA

12/05/2013

Greeings All! We are going to disable the "Members" log in page for a bit. We all all busy, and frankly nobody really uses it much.   Some members have been unable to get back into the page since the server switch a year ago and that issue has remained unresolved. No worries, we can always bring it back if needed. Hope all are well as the holiday season approaches! Be Safe! AFFA

11/28/2013 Happy Thanksgiving to everyone! We trust the family gatherings and feast will be great!  Kudos to all of us working so that others may enjoy this holiday!  AFFA 11/12/2013 Greetings!  Sorry, we really haven't been absent from posting here, but as with some of the other web issues the site has had, one of them has been saving our updated posts.  Finally, that issue was resolved early last week!  Hope all are well!  We have continued to answer iclub nquiries to include some internationally.    11/11/2013 Happy Veterans Day and a salute to all our military brothers and sisters! 6/24/2013 Seriously?  We always try to post each month, however the May post apparently went into the abyss. We have had several new inquiries, however none with follow through on membership or chapter formation.   Interesting how folks want to join, but want an existing chapter to exist near them........As new members, recruiting other locals, is how this function happens, regarding of club or location.  Until such time as other members in specific geographic areas join, the National Chapter option remains a viable option.  4/6/2013 Greetings!  We have had additional inquiries from the U.K.  and are working on those contacts.   As the weather improves, more bikes are out!  Coming out of the winter or wet months usually means we have to be on the look out for road hazards as we get out on the road....sand, pot holes, etc.   I encourage you to get the "feel" of your bike back before taking off on a long haul, especially with a passenger!   Keep us posted on your activities!    Ride Safe and Stay Smart! AFFA  3/19/2013 Greetings!  Riding season rapidly approaching folks!  Let's super careful out there with all the new potholes, sand and other debris on the road (not to mention the other drivers!).  Just finished cleaning up over 200 spam messages as this website continues to be targeted.  Double filters are being used......if anyone has any ideas on how to quell the tide, please let me know!  AFFA 01/24/2013 Greetings!  Ahhhh, another new year!  Latest inquires come from the United Kingdom, New Jersey, Indiana, Idaho and New Mexico.  Hope everyone had a set of holidays, ours went great.  Been some decent weather actually in Colorado so some bikes are out occassionally.  Although T-Rex and Mad Dog are part of  a motor unit, so I guess the recreational riding might get a little old, regardless of the weather! Lots of sand on the roads folks, regardless where ya are.  Be safe out there! AFFA 12/23/2012 Wishing everyone a Merry Christmas and Happy Holiday season! Difficult times for a lot of folks and dangerous times for our brothers and sisters everywhere.  Sometimes the holiday season brings out the worst in people as we have all witnessed recently. Still, the majority of folks out there are counting on us and for that we must continue on despite the horrible scenes we have seen played out this year. Tough year for first responders. Hang in there. God Bless. AFFA 11/18/2012 Greetings! We hope everyone has a great Thanksgiving holiday.  Ride safe and stay smart! AFFA  10/31/2012 Halloween wishes! Sorry folks, some delays answering mail and such on my part. Just have been super busy on some personal things and will be more settled soon. We hope everyone is well and not experiencing any personal issues with the monster storm "Sandy". Our thoughts and prayers are with anyone or their relatives in harms way.     10/15/2012 Greetings! Ahhh, still some nice weather for riding!  Hope we can say the same for everyone else!  We have been working to resolve our issues with the members area log in.  The best we can determine is that a former server upgrade has somehow affected the mail issue we have been having as well as trying to authorize new members for logging into the members area.  Although the host vendor believes the issues may ultimately resolved, we are beginning to question the logic at this point.  It may mean rebuilding the site and that WOULD be a bummer, but we will do whatever is necessary.  Everything else appears to be working.  We will keep you posted.   Stay Safe and Ride Smart.  AFFA 9/10/2012 Greetings! National would like to extend our welcome to Massachusetts!  Archangels MC would like to remind everyone that tomorrow , 9/11, is a date for all of us to remember and honor all those that fell on that day.   Lots of ridng season still left.  Let's be careful out there. Ride safe and stay smart.  AFFA.  8/6/2012 I think we have given up repairing the contact form on the web site.  Even the techs can't seem to fix the bug.  Still receiving lots of spam, despite double filters.  Spent some time communicating with other folks in North Carolina and Massachusetts. We have to see if that interest moves forward.   It's Stugis week!  Let's be careful out there! Cripple Creek Veterans Rally next week........whew! AFFA 8/1/2012 A slideshow of Officer Matt Tyner's funeral.  http://www.gazette.com/sections/slideshow/?id=15493334 7/24/2012 CSPD lost an officer, but we lost a friend.  Very tough times. My heart is truely saddened.   http://www.kktv.com/home/headlines/Officer-Injured-In-Motorcycle-Crash-163608256.html 6/25/2012 Our heartfelt condolences to our brothers and sisters in Denver and to the family of fallen Officer Celena Hollis.   6/19/2012 Interesting loss of messages here and we are still working on the email form on the web. Still havent figured that one out yet.   Great turnout for the Pikes Peak Fallen Officer ride. It was nice and windy...and cold, but we finished the run.   Next up is the Tejon Bike Fest on the 24th.http://pro-promotions.com/ 6/18/2012 Following much consideration and review,  the Board made a decision on June 10th regarding the anticipated Archangels MC patch mod.  It was determined by a majority of the attending Board members that the primary back patch (colors) would remain unchanged for the time being, however a 2"x2"  patch denoting "MC" would be added.  This patch has been ordered and will be delivered to all members without charge. The patch is designed using the same font style, blue letters, black background with the red edging. It was strongly felt that the "MC" patch enhances the club name,  Archangels MC, which is the trademarked name.  The colors of the new patch compliment the other colors in the back patch and the use of the blue letters help distinguish the patch as belonging to law enforcement.  These patches are effective upon receipt and must be added as soon possible.  There were a number of other considerations that have been tabled for now.     AFFA  5/20/2012 Members: we have been notified that the host of the Archangels MC Web page is upgrading and changing servers in the next 48 hours.  There may be a disruption of service, but we have been advised that it will be limited.   5/3/2012 Okay, a little catch up. Latest inquires were out of N. Carolina and Calgary Canada. Sorry NC members, the member prospect decided he was too far away from you guys and decided not to join at this time. The Canadian prospect is still considering at this time.  AFFA 5/1/2012 Greetings - Email system back up. I was wondering why all I was getting was a mail box full of scams.  Sorry if anyone has had their mail returned over the past couple of weeks.  Seems to be ok now.  Ride safe! 4/17/2012 Greeting!  My, how some things move slowly! Geez!.   Thank goodness riding season is around the corner.  Hope all are well.  Still have a few housecleaning things to get too on the website, but it will come.  Patch enhancements remain in the works and different things have been tried and discarded.  I think we are close to finalizing that at least.  Some new inquiries, but nothing solid.  We did lose 2 Mags as he moved over to a local club in the UK so he unpatched. Bummer. Great dude.    2/24/2012 Greetings!  Reaching to those spread across the country......Haven't heard from ya for awhile!  Not unusual for everything to slow down during the cold months through...Ugh! Ready for Spring?  Waiting for some feedback on the patch add on's and then will get it out to each of you.  I notice that folks still aren't into the whole discusson board thing and that's okay and like I said earlier, fairly typical.  Still, I would encourage you to register to the discussion group and at least do an intro thread for everyone.  It is about the only way (absent emails) that we can communicate with everyone.  Looking to shift a few more items - including this message board - to the secure portion of the web site, so be ready for that.  No point in messaging where anyone can view (although I admit it's fairly quick).    Naturally, we are all interested in how everyone is doing and what they might have planned coming up.  Hope you all are enjoying the changes in the web site, especially those event links and such.  More to come later.  AFFA   01/15/2012 Trying some mods on the back patch. Not a change in design,  but a possible add on.  We will experiment over the next couple of weeks and put something out for everyone if it looks promising.  Our latest inquiry is from Ohio.  Seems like others in that area have contacted us before? Hmmmmm.   Ride Smart and Stay Safe! 12/31/2011 Happy New Year to all! Let's be careful out there.......kind of a tedious night for those working and keep our country and communities safe!  Wishing everyone the best for all of 2012.  AFFA     12/18/2011 Happy Holidays to all!   Sometimes the worst in people shows itself during the holiday season, so be safe, be vigilant.  AFFA   12/4/2011 Looks like the web mail system was down and was just discovered. Email addresses were also impacted and we are in the process of fixing that now.    Be Safe. AFFA 11/24/2011 Happy Thanksgiving to all! We can all be grateful for our men and women in uniform, be they military or law enforcement.  Everybody can't be off today, that is not how it works in our professions so a special thank you to those of you that are working and keeping our country and communities safe! AFFA 11/11/2011 A special thanks to the Veterans of all services and their family members on this Veterans Day. Thank You! 11/8/2011 Once you access the Members area, you will need to register to use the Discussion Boards and Forum (within the Archangel Community). Just locate the register verbiage and follow the instructions.  Seems to work well.  Now if we can just get that darned Gallery to work!  11/7/2011 Ugh! Okay folks, a single link has been created to enter the members area.  A Gallery has been added, HOWEVER.....not happy with the complications in its availability so that members can upload and manage their own folders.  We have put a temporary Merchandise listing in this area too.  We are working on this as we can and hope everyone is pleased with the changes......it is complicated and difficult to get too while managing the workload.  Still, the Board knows the importance and will continue the efforts.  More changes coming. Please let me know if any of you have any difficulties. Ride Safe and Stay Smart!  AFFA  10/30/2011 Wow - a technology experience nobody should have to suffer through!  The forum/discusson board is up. Members should have recieved their user name and password via email.  From what I have experienced on other boards, some members will use it, others won't......Still, it is a place for members to use if they want too.  Once you get access to the page, you must also register to view and leave posts.  The photo gallery is another issue.  Although it is running in the background, for some reason members cannot upload and so it remains unlinked until we can get it figured out. Still working on thing. Please be patient, we will get there! AFFA   We are working on the members page and locking out features that are password protected. You will be notified of your password so that you can access the features.  At this time, it appears we cannot "lock" the page out, but only the features (links)......we are working on trying to resolve this today.  Hang in there!  10/24/2011 Sorry for the delay in getting the new features up and running folks. The new features will be activated over this weekend.  Just have had too many things on the plate of late!  Hope you are all well and still trying to get in some rides. Weather here remains very mild, but have a cold front coming in......and then back out. Typical Colorado. AFFA 9/24/2011 Our latest inquiries  come from Maryland and Australia as they consider membership.  We will keep you all informed of progress in this area.  Sorry to see the riding season slow down.....just not enough riding this year!   It's a dangerous world out there.  Be safe. Always. AFFA  9/23/2011 Greetings! Hope everyone likes the changes on the website so far.  We are in the process of testing a Members Discusson and Forum Board and customizing the template now.  It took quite a bit of effort to get things uploaded properly and stable, but its very close to going live soon.  More coming.....AFFA 9/11/2011 Our prayers and condolences are with the families of all who lost loved ones and friends on this day. 9/10/2011 Sorry, I crashed the website just a "few" times the past week.  New changes are evident under the "LINKS" tab where we seperated the Memorial Links from the others and added a drop down menu becomes visable as the tab is crossed to indicate whats within the area.   We also added the Charlotte-Mecklenburg, United Kingdom, Colorado State, Maine State memorial links.  I am fairly convinced that we will have to cease using the small pictures with the links for the sake of room and may just create a list of links in the different areas in the future.  I am working on the "MEMBERS" area, but have crashed the site numerous times experimenting with getting a product up for folks.  AFFA 8/29/2011 Holy Cow! Hope everyone affected by Irene survived the pounding! Seriously, lots of water and wind! We hope all of you are well.  Thanks to everyone for joining the run to salute the veterans in Cripple Creek last Saturday that was a great ride.  Enjoyed the BBQ after too, way to pick'em Speck!  8/15/2011 Giving a shout out to Maine - Welcome! and your package is on its way.  Just heard from a brother in the U.K. (2 Mags).  As most of you know, they have really been involved in some pretty heavy street rioting, but believe its under control following about 2,000 arrests. What a mess for them.  Stay strong brothers and sisters! That kinda stuff could happen anywhere nowdays.  On another note, seems our folks in NC are okay and weren't personnally affected by the flash flooding, so that is some great news. AFFA  8/6/2011 Wow! A clear, but unpopular commonality with our brothers and sisters in North Carolina - Flash Flooding! One wants the rain, but not the unintended consequences. At least it has helped cool things down a little in Colorado.  Hope everyone is well and dry! AFFA 7/28/2011 Greetings! Our most recent inquiries regarding membership are from New Jersey and Maine.  I don't know about you all, but it's been pretty stormy out here about every afternoon for two weeks! We have been forced to make a modification to our membership fees simply due to postage and embroidery increases.  We make every effort to minimize these costs for those considering membership, but some things are not within our control.   Some web changes are coming.......really! Just haven't had the time to get it accomplished!  For those in Colorado, or nearby, don't forget the 19th Annual Veterans Salute in Cripple Creek, Colorado on August 19th - 21st, the information is within the Event section of the web page.  Available area members will be attending the event - more info to follow on that.  Stay Safe and Ride Smart!  AFFA  7/18/2011 Back from Boston, MA.  Met some good folks out there.  Gotta luv all the history and things to see! Still, good to be back home.  Will try and get to some web site updates this week.  Stay Safe and Ride Smart!  7/1/2011 The Board meeting went well and a lot of business was covered.  National would like to welcome our brothers and sisters from North Carolina and England.   We are happy to announce that we are reducing the back patch to be more accomodating to members with smaller frames.  This patch will be available as an alternative for those that need it.  We are in the process of finalizing a support patch and t-shirt for nonmembers and some changes to the web site  will be forthcoming.  Hang in there!    Please remember that holidays and good weather mean a lot of bikes on the road. Be extra careful out there! AFFA 6/24/2011 Rode for the first time since surgery...following a day of removing some dead sod. Tired, but all okay!  National Board meeting on Sunday, June 26th.  Also, see you at the downtown Colorado Springs Bike Fest...the largest one day bike rally in Colorado!. AFFA 6/8/2011 Reference the Pikes Peak Fallen Officer Memorial Ride on Sunday: Sorry folks, my best guess is that I will not be able to ride yet. I will at least be present for the kickoff for support if nothing else! Stay Safe!  6/3/2011 Does the wind ever not blow? Geez!  5/16/2011 Police Memorial Week. Sad times. Ride in your local LE memorial benefits if you can, but definately take the time to remember the fallen!  Stay Safe! AFFA 5/14/2011 Greetings! Our most recent inquires come from North Carolina, Ohio and Europe.  Still trying to have some minor errors on the website either repaired or modified.  Thanks for your patience! Weather continues to improve (as does the shoulder!), With the riding season upon us, please be careful out there, both on and off the job! Stay Safe! 4/21/2011 Mail system repaired! P.S.  Shoulder is on the mend....getting better each day.  04/19/2011 NOTICE: Mail system on the server has been down for about two weeks and we just discovered that.  One can still contact us through the "Contact" tab on the website, however outside mail systems are not delivering.  We are working to resolve the issue.     03/19/2011 Greetings! Sorry folks....a minor personal setback. Had shoulder reconstruction this week, so I have to be out of the riding mix for awhile.  Wouldn't you know it?  This time it's my left one.....I clearly remember the difficulty in recoverying from my right shoulder repair years ago.  Oh well.  Goes with the territory.  Be careful out there....and watch those shoulders! 03/03/2011 Greetings! Our most recent inquires come from Florida, Ohio and Kansas. Sorry for all the snow our brothers and sisters have been getting! Colorado gets its fair share, but most of it is usually up in the mountains. Seems like the Midwest and back East have just been getting hammered this year.  Hang in there.......the weather will improve!   01/16/2011 As I reflect back on why this club was established, I cannot help but feel optimistic about it's future.  The good news is that the year was full of inquiries about the club from around the country and internationally as well.  If there was any disappointment, it was the real lack of follow through by some.  The application process is not difficult, but it isn't easy either.  We stick by the ByLaws of the Club.  It is "NOT" an automatic membership just because individuals are law enforcement officials.  The application is going to be scrutinized for completion and employment or honorable retirement and is going to validated, period.  The National ByLaws state that all LE officials are eligible to apply for membership.....that doesn't mean everyone is going to be accepted, however.  We also get a lot of inquires about joining from our brothers on the correctional side of LE.  I have met some good folks in this tough line of work, however I have had to advise them that they are not eligible to apply for membership at this time.  We are not sure how to turn the "inquires" into more applications, but we will keep answering all. We still have a great opportunity to continue growing and uniting our brothers and sisters with the club.   Members should dedicate 2011 to bringing at least one more rider each! The season is just around the corner.......(really!)  Be safe!      01/01/2011 Happy New Year! Gotta luv it!....Doesn't that mean Spring is around the corner?  Stay Safe! 12/25/2010 Happy Holidays to all!  Let's be safe out there! 11/21/2010 Greetings! National wishes everyone a Happy Thanksgiving!   A big "THANK YOU!" to all the brothers and sisters that are working on the holiday helping keep America and your communities safe so others can enjoy it.    Be especially safe during this holiday season.   11/14/2010 Greetings! Our latest inquires hail from California, Georgia and Australia.  National receives a lot of inquiries from LE looking for chapters already established in their geographical areas. While this is understood,  please remember that this is NOT a requirement for membership. Individual membership and representation can well be the impetous for getting others in your area interested enough in the club to also consider membership and eventually a chapter. Being "One of Many" means you never ride alone, whether individually or in a group as you are part of a very exclusive segment of our society. Be Known.  Please consider individual membership or consider recruiting a few other LE members to form a chapter in your area. Support the Red and Blue! AFFA  10/31/2010 Greetings!  Alas, Fall is truely upon us! A great day in Colorado however for those that ventured out.  Hope the weather is holding for everyone where ever they may be so that a few more good days of riding can be had before winter sets in.  "T-Rex" is finally back in shoes, following a few weeks of hobbling around in slippers due to a motorcycle training injury that left a foot injured.  We are working on getting the primary back patch resized for women members.  Due to it's size, it will not fit most women's vest sizes, and barely fits a men's medium.  Expensive venture for sure, regardless of vender.  Thanks to Lisa aka "Blade" for pointing this out.  Latest club inquiries have come from New Hampshire and North Carolina. AFFA  8/15/2010 Greetings! The group survived the 70th Black Hills Rally! We had great weather for the week and got to really lay down some rubber throughout South Dakota and Wyoming.    Met several LE non-riders, but never did see other LE riders, although I know several groups were around. Naturally, the Archangels MC patches drew some attention pretty much wherever we landed...We answered a lot of questions concerning what the big "A" stood for.  Gotta luv it.  Thanks to "Mad Dog" and "T-Rex" for making the trip fun! AFFA 7/25/2010 Greetings! The good news is we filled the vacant National Secretary position.  Lisa, aka "Blade" is a great addition to the leadership and will be a great asset to the club.  She has already provided some great ideas regarding our female membership.  The club shirts are at the vendor and will be complete next week.  The club will offer a selection of short and long sleeve men's and women's  shirts.  Shirts are only for club members and will soon be available online.   FYI - I know that several of us will be at the Black Hills Rally in Sturgis beginning August 6th through the 11th.  I think there is a straggler or two that are staying all week.  While at the rally, we would be happy to meet with any of our LE partners for a ride, or cold one.....just drop me a line!  Ride Safe! AFFA 6/13/2010 Greetings! Well all, let's just say some did roll out for the Pikes Peak Fallen Officer Ride......a few of did as well.  Not initially wet, but it got that way quick! Weather was much worse than a couple of years ago!  That ride has just got to get changed to July.  June just has unpredicable Colorado weather.  Overall turnout for the event was poor, although most area clubs did represent.  Everyone remained safe, although cold and wet.  A good time regardless. AFFA  6/2/2010 Greetings to my brothers and sisters! Hope some of you were able to make the Sentinals Thin Blue Line Run last week and all was safe! The Pikes Peak Fallen Officer Memorial Run is coming up on June 13th.  Information can be found on the Event Links page under the Colorado links. See you there! Ride Safe! 5/15/2010 Greetings to my Brothers and Sisters of the badge!  We have had over a thousand web hits so far in 2010 and more inquires than I can keep up with. We have had chapter information requests from Georgia, Delaware,  Tennessee and Texas.   Interested and qualified persons are encouraged to please "follow through" with their inquires and complete the application process (sorry, I know it's a hassle!)   Remember, membership isn't restricted by the geographical size of your agency.  Maybe you are the only member of your organization that owns a qualifying motorcycle?  You can still join and proudly display the ARCHANGELS MC colors, identifying yourself as one of us. Remember, as part of our club, you never ride alone because you are "one of many".  Riding season is here, so let's get with it!  Get that paperwork done so we can move forward! Now get out there...be, and ride safe!  *****REMAINING 2010 AND 2009 MESSAGES HAVE BEEN ARCHIVED*****
