About

The Archangels MC was founded in 2009. Members are currently in Colorado, California, Connecticut, Louisiana, Maine, Massachusetts, North Carolina, Ohio, and Australia. If you are seeking the camaraderie of becoming "One of Many", then you have found the right club. If you are a active or honorably retired member of the law enforcement community and ride a motorcycle, then you can become one of us. Male OR Female. Whether you ride a little, or ride a lot. You can be part of something with the huge potential of uniting our brothers and sisters of the badge wherever they may be on this planet. We offer an alternative to those in law enforcement that want to belong to something different than what other clubs might be offering, or requiring. Military personnel whose primary MOS is in law enforcement may also be considered for membership. How are we different from other LEMC's?

1) No prospect or probationary period - You have already earned your badge. That's good enough for us. However, your employment or retirement status will be validated prior to your membership being accepted.
2) No mandatory rides - While we support LE Memorial and other charitable rides, you choose to ride when your schedule allows. There are no penalties.
3) No three piece patch - We don't mirror the 1% clubs....besides, our patch says it all, period.
4) No claim of territory - There is no claim of territory as ARCHANGELS MC cannot really be defined geographically. They are global by the nature of their duty and connected by the sacrifices they make each and every day. Personalization of Chapter names, state or country is displayed on the front of the vest.
5) Male and Female members have equal status - Something a lot of other clubs don't offer or allow.
6) You don't have to own an American made V-Twin - We would like you too, but's it's not a requirement. We believe that is just too exclusionary.
7) Membership is open to individuals - There doesn't have to be a local chapter in your area. Whether you work in a small, rural or highly
populated area doesn't matter. Whether you are the only person on your department or the only one with a motorcycle, you can still join and belong.

Like other Clubs, the ARCHANGELS MC supports es spirit de corps and friendship on the road as well as off. The ARCHANGELS MC supports charitable events in their communities, and for their brothers and sisters. The club is global in its ambitions, whether through the establishment of individual chapters or its general membership. The ARCHANGELS MC invites the brotherhood of the badge to be fullfilled by our national and global law enforcement partners, be they men or women. As our uniforms distinquish and identify us as protectors of the public, so does the ARCHANGELS MC club patch. The patch presents a bold respresentation of who we are and what we do.

ARCHANGELS MC supports and respects all other LEMC's and Veteran MC's. We will give respect to all other colors where respect is shown.

The Colors

The design consists of a shield, sword, and angelic wings which are representative of Saint Michael in many artist depictions.   Saint Michael is the recognized Patron Saint of Police. The design of the ARCHANGELS MC  represents the following elements;

The WINGS: A pair of wings are above the shield, spread and uplifted to signify pride in the profession and the willingness to embrace and protect the weak and innocent wherever they may be found.   Black shows through the wings to reflect the open road. Wings are also a historical part of motorcycle lore.

The SHIELD: The shield represents the badge held by all law enforcement and also symbolizes its protection by “shielding” others from harm.   The shield is adorned with a large blue  “A” which identifies the wearer as a member of the ARCHANGELS MC.  Blue is chosen to reflect the historical representation of law enforcement colors. The shield is surrounded by a “thin blue line” representing the wearer as being a part of the line.  The background color within the shield is black to mourn the death of our fallen brothers and sisters.  The color Red represents the blood spilled by our brothers and sisters.  The shield contains the Latin phrase, “Patronus Publicus”, which, when translated,  means  “Protector of the Public”.

The SWORD: Is representative of the tool used by Saint Michael to battle and ward off evil.  It is used to protect others.  It is pointed down as our enemies are below us.

The BANNER: There is a banner along the bottom of the shield with the phrase,  “One of Many”.  This signifies that whenever a member rides alone or with others, they are part of a large unique family of brothers and sisters throughout the world and are but one, of many others.

Question: "With so many other law enforcement based motorcycle clubs around, why form another one?"

Answer: To be unique and somewhat different from other law enforcement based clubs. This uniqueness is explained in the By-Laws. Research into other law enforcement based motorcycle clubs was conducted and while some notable clubs were identified, it was determined that it was in the best overall interest of all riding brothers and sisters to form another club as an alternative.

Question: "Wouldn't it have been easier to join another club?"

Answer: Perhaps, but then the vision of what the Archangels MC are bringing to law enforcement riders everywhere would not have been realized. The Archangels MC embrace all other LE MC's. While this doesn't mean we agree with every philosophy, we respect their club right to manage each club as they wish. As sworn officers, we are all in this together and as such will always have each others back.

Question: "Why do you accept only sworn law enforcement officers as members?"
Answer: Many other LE MC's have the same requirement. Regardless of where we ride, whether together or individually, the colors of the ARCHANGELS MC declare that person as a sworn law enforcement official and protector of the public. We want it that way. Supporters and friends of the ARCHANGELS MC may ride with club members; however there are no plans to allow them a variance to the membership requirements.

Question: "Are military and federal law enforcement officials eligible to join?"

Answer: Yes, if your primary MOS is the law enforcement function within any branch of service then you may be eligible. If you are retired military with the former primary MOS being in law enforcement, then you may be eligible. Federal Officers involved in a law enforcement function may be eligible. Please contact the National Chapter for a determination.

Question: "With so many other LE MC's not allowing women to join, why are you?"

Answer: Women in law enforcement have earned the right to join and ride side by side with their male counterparts by earning their badge. The law enforcement family is not just one of brotherhood, but both brotherhood and sisterhood. We are a family of one.
